Reception

Cafe- The cafe is community center for soldiers in treatment, their families, and veterans to come together in a safe environment. The cafe is equipped with a few reading materials to promote understanding for patients and their families. The motion-censored fountain and plant wall shown adds to the biophilic healing nature of the rehabilitation center.

Aquatic Hallway- Each of the four wings of the building houses a different therapy. Clearly marked signage helps patients know where they are at all times.

Aquatic Hallway- The view shows the connection with the outdoors while providing a safe feeling for the patients. Many soldiers don't like being in open spaces, which makes them feel like a target.

Garden Therapy Room- This room acts as a green house for plants before they are ready to transplant into the garden outside as well a meeting place as patients start to learn about the needs of plants.

Plant Carrier- Once the warrior makes a pot in Art Therapy, they are able to take home a small plant. The idea is for them to be able to nurture it and watch it grow. This product is designed to help aid in transporting the plant home with a light-weight easy-to-carry container that fits in a standard cup holder. This way, the plant won’t topple over. The top portion easily snaps off and the plant can be pulled out.
