The Global Studio has traveled extensively and worked with communities around the world to improve their built environments. Design projects include work with communities in Mexico, Guatemala, Kenya, Uganda, Botswana, and Sri Lanka. Design-build projects include work with communities in Mexico, India, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Cuba, and Haiti, as well as with the Sioux tribe in South Dakota. Their international experience includes the design of schools, libraries, community centers, orphanages and community master plans. In 2003, Geoff, Matthew and Jamie Fleming received an AIA Seattle Citation Award for the design of a village community center in western Kenya.
