The aged population living in A-da-Beja, near Lisbon, had a lack of a place to spend their daytime where they could interact with each other, exercise, have their meals and enjoy their daytime when the younger are working.

Besides needing specific rooms like a music room, a workshop and a chapel, this building needs a minimum number of rooms, a cafeteria with kitchen, laudry room, employee room and all the minimum requirements for this kind of building in the Portuguese law.

Making sure to include all the needed rooms, the building created has a garage on the lower level and all the other activities only use the upper level, with several patios to give privacy and light to the areas that need them, or to origin a place where the users can meet, chat and enjoy the sun or the shadows depending on the time of the year.
