BAU (Brearley Architects and Urbanists), Melbourne, AU, Instagram Manager/Curator
I have been responsible for launching and maintaining the Instagram page of Brearley Architects and Urbanists, @bau_brearley.arch.urbanists, which has been a success under my direction. My expertise lies in planning and preparing engaging posts, which entails sourcing appropriate project imagery, crafting compelling captions, devising relevant hashtags, and ensuring a consistent aesthetic appeal.
BG Architecture & Design, Melbourne, AU, Architectural Assistant
During my 16 months at BG Architecture, I was a flexible employee and executed a variety of tasks. I honed my skills in Rhino3D, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Revit, and MS Office, and gained a deep understanding of the relationships between clients, builders, and architects. I am capable of rapidly learning new software on the job. I am well-trained in creating physical and digital mood boards, putting together presentation booklets and PowerPoints, taking phone calls, ordering samples, addressing clients, and can even make a great coffee. I am highly dependable, detail-oriented, and flexible, with an ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively. I can organize an office, clean it, and perform any task that is required of me.
The University of Melbourne, Melbourne, AU, BArch, Bachelor of Architecture
At the University of Melbourne, students are trained to use design thinking to address contemporary issues such as rapid urbanization, environmental degradation, and digital capabilities. We develop foundational design skills while studying critical issues like climate change, equity and diversity, and shifting urbanism. The program focuses on design studios and subjects that teach design history and theory, visual representation, and building technologies. The capstone subject, Design Studio Epsilon, challenges us to tackle urban design issues using historical, theoretical, and environmental ideas.
The curriculum also offers 'breadth subjects', giving students the opportunity to study outside their core area of study. I was able to explore creative interests and discover new passions such as cinematography through breadth.
