Design: Studio Twist

We want to create for Perth, a genius loci, a symbol of life, an enigmatic form that is timeless and non-figurative, referring not to any single motif or story, yet at the same time having the ability to intrigue, engage, and become a focal point in the city.

The sculpture is a ring formed by a never-ending twisting surface that is sometimes wall and sometimes roof.

This twisting ring forms 5 arched doorways in 5 directions that allow viewers to enter into the center of the sculpture. At the same time, its polished stainless steel surface encompasses a multitude of reflections of the sky, the surrounding city, and the viewers.
