Harley Ellis Devereaux hired Steve Maylone to capture outstanding photographs during the ongoing expansion and improvements at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and Troy, Michigan.

As with most health care projects, the window of opportunity for photography is small. Carefully considered — and crafted photographs of key areas are paramount. All photos in the collection were shot tethered to a MacBook Pro resulting in tight precise compositions, with client approval throughout the process.

Natural lighting is predominant in the series of photos, with occasional spotlights used to highlight furniture and flooring. All photographs were bracketed over a 5 to 10 stop range and merged in High Dynamic Range software. Critical areas were outlined in photoshop during post production.
