Located on a 25.000 sq.m. sloping site, the inactive building facilities of the upper part of the resort are fully modified functionally and morphologically in order to create a modern accommodation of international standards, upgraded in terms of energy efficiency. The eastern facade of the complex, which enjoys an unobstructed view of the sea but is at the same time exposed to sunlight, was implement with a shading system along with the use of reinvented traditional arches – a core element of Corfu’s architecture. The upgraded hotel complex consists of a main building of common amenities, three room wings (69 rooms of 40 to 68 sq.m.), a spa facility, a pool area and an extended network of designed indoor and outdoor pathways that lead to the rooms.
