My name is Hongyang "Stanley" Lin.
In September 2016 I graduated from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI- Arc) and was awarded the master’s degree of architecture. As now my studies are concluded, I am looking forward to applying my skills and passion for design in your professional practice.
I worked over three months in summer 2015 as an intern architectural designer at P-A- T-T-E-R-N-S, a Los Angeles based architecture design firm run by Marcelo Spina, who was also my studio professor at SCI-Arc. In there I had the opportunity to participate creative contemporary design projects. I worked through schematic to design document phase. I had also worked over three months as intern architectural designer in Architectural Design and Research Institute of Southern China University of Technology back in China. I participated in roles from design to construction drawings in several design projects and competitions. My design approaches and modeling techniques had been intensely developed through these experience.
My digital design skills are ranging from Rhino to Maya. I am excellent at Maya and other computational means of design. I am able to use these software to make attractive study models and convert them into precise design. I am familiar with up-to- date fabrication technologies such as laser cutting,CNC Milling and 3D printing, meanwhile I like and passionate about experimenting different materials and techniques. I have critical and creative thinking about the translation between digital and physical models.
I enjoy working with others in a team and have the ability to work well as a member of team. Also, I am confident in taking responsibility for independent work. I am a hardworking and enthusiastic person, and I believe that I could be a positive addition to your team. Please find my portfolio and CV, which provide full details of my qualification.
