The gallery is one-of-its-kind designed for a premium residential development in the suburbs of Mumbai city
The unique triangular floor plan of the gallery mandated by the location of the structure within the layout posed a challenge in terms of interior space planning to accommodate all the requirements at the same time avoiding awkward corners and acute angles.
The solution was devised in the form of a curved full height partition wrapping two sides of the triangle, that forms a cocoon enveloping the meeting rooms, conference room, manager’s cabin, etc. These are enclosed in clear glass with a slim white roof that seems to float above, thus avoiding any visual boundary, integrating the whole gallery as one continuous space also allowing uninterrupted view of the flowing partition behind.
This partition clad in striated, light patterned wood forms the backdrop for a custom made chandelier, which is the centre piece suspended above the project model. The amoeboid suspended ceiling above emphasises the flowing, dynamic nature of the space.
The entrance façade of the gallery is ensconced in clear, full height glazing flooding the space with diffused daylight. As one enters the gallery, the guest is greeted by an expansive reception table fronted by a backlit gemstone panel making a unique statement, set against a subtle grey marble wall which extends outside through the entrance glazing providing visual connectivity with the outdoors. The reception table is delineated from an adjacent waiting area by a full height custom designed grill finished in silver leaf.
As the guests walk further towards the Show apartment, they get a titillating glimpse through a glass panel before entering the lobby. The lobby is flanked by a rough stone wall fronted by a skylit water body with a single white Plumeria tree.
The sales gallery serves as a preview of the value, look & feel of the overall development which is planned as one of its kind in terms of planning, workmanship and finishes.
