The two-story heavy timber frame buildng was constructed in the early 1900's.  Over the years the building has had many different uses and has been renovated many times.  The building now has 17 one and two bedroom residential units on the second floor with commercial/business occupying the ground floor.  The basement level was converted in a parking garage for the tenants and the shop owners.  Part of the scope of work was to place the building on the National Historic Register.  the building has won an Award of Excellance by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preseveration.
