A community center that transforms into an emergency shelter in the event of extreme weather conditions. Located in the Arverne neighborhood of the Rockaway Peninsula, Perforated Overlaps houses an open market space, a central eating area, classrooms, offices, a ceramics maker studio, and a pottery display room. In case of flooding, major program areas are housed above DFE to be used as dormitories for people in need of safe housing.
