Hello!
My name is Silvia and I am a recent graduate of the Master of Architecture program at Parsons School of Design. I am really looking forward to gaining experience in my field and trying to move forward in completing my license requirements for both my architect license and engineering license (in structural design). I am very passionate about biophilic architecture, healthy materials, and adaptive reuse.
Parsons School of Design, New York, NY, US, MArch, Architecture
Very heavily research and theory based with a strong push towards sustainable design and consideration of the surrounding environments. For my thesis I focused on biophilic design and the way that Architecture affects the space it inhabits and those who inhabit the space.
The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC, US, BArch, Dual Major in Civil Engineering and Architecture
After five years of hard work I came out with two degrees in Civil Engineering and Architecture while also minoring in Philosophy. The architectural studies were heavily focused in technical drawings, modeling, and renderings. The engineering studies limited design work to the last year and were very focused on calculations and general understanding of the discipline.
Design Caucus 2020, 1st Place
Group challenge, Topic: “How might we facilitate a more just election and outcome in 2020 and beyond?” My group designed a mobile voting station with an app to help give information about candidates and where mobile stations would be. I was personally, in charge of designing the app.
