About 

I’m a licensed architect with 15 years of experience in new construction and interior design and with knowledge of the NYC Building Codes. With my design expertise and high level of organizational skills I can ensure that the client's expectations will be met and that a project will be successfully completed. I have a solid understanding of all phases of a construction project and have experience in both residential and commercial designs.

Overseeing all phases of design and documentation for international high-end hospitality projects, including renovations and new construction. Responsibilities include overseeing design from concept to design development; supervision of in-house teams, outside consultants and client management; supervision of preparation of construction documents. Construction Administration. Responsible for bidding, budget and schedule review.

Simultaneously managed 10 to 15 commercial interior projects in various stages. Managed outside consultants and clients. Reviewed all designs for compliance with NYC building codes and State laws, coordinated DOB filing. Prepared and monitored budgets & construction schedules; negotiated costs for client. Conducted Construction Administration and controlled quality of construction work.

• ION Media Networks, NY & Miami: Offices & broadcasting studios for media company; 40,000 sf

Architect of Record for Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan. Lead designer and project manager for all ongoing renovations and alterations. Managed consultants, clients and in-house team through all phases of project from conceptual design through construction administration, including material & product research and building code analyses.

• FIT, NY: space optimization analysis of 5-acre campus. Conducted architectural programming based on evaluation of curriculum, space use and discussion with department heads.

Beehive - Centre for Social Enterprise, Malawi, Africa, Lead Architect

Set up office structure for in-house design team consisting of expat and local architects and engineers. Led local in-house design team of 5 people through design and detailing process of several buildings. Performed on-site assistance during construction. All project were completed successfully.

• Five acre community development Master plan for educational and small business purposes

• 3-story educational training facilities and low-cost volunteer accommodation

Prepared construction documents in accordance with building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, environmental consideration, and local ordinances. Managed team of architects and consultants to meet project parameters including design constraints, environmental purpose, budget, construction details, and equipment installation.

• The Edge, Williamsburg, NY: 575 high-end condos in two towers with amenities incl. indoor pool, spa, lounges

• 350 subsidized rental apartments

• 60,000 sf of retail space, parking for 500 cars, 34,000 sf of open public space

Managed several new commercial, residential, and alteration projects across all phases including hands-on site visits during construction. Performed NYC zoning, building code and land use analyses for new constructions and alterations. Prepared presentation for Landmark Preservation Commission and received unanimous approval of project.

• Fort Greene Sanctuary, Brooklyn: Conversion of 19th Century Church into apartments; 17,000 sf

• Ten Eyck Tower, Brooklyn: New construction of 4-story residential building; 14 units, 14,000 sf
