Encompassing the northern edge of downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina lies a patch of land, hiding in plain sight. To enhance the livability of the neighborhood, the project focused in several design elements: wider sidewalk, conversion of one way to two way, high visibility crosswalk, moving overhead utilities underground, pedestrian scale ornamental lighting, street trees, on street and angled parking design, etc.
