This new building was conceived as an incubator for university partnerships in high-tech manufacturing and biotech.
Severn was responsible for facade design and detailing and coordination of structural and mechanical systems, including full-scale onsite performance mockups of the facade systems.
Facade design consisted of several distinct systems: a rainscreen with custom perforated metal panels, precast concrete panels, and an extensive green roof over much of the lower levels of the building.
Foundations had to be designed to isolate sensitive testing equipment from nearby highway truck traffic.
