A school of architectural thinking
Los Angeles, CA
Request InformationThe Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) is pleased to announce its spring 2015 series of public programs and events. Each semester, SCI-Arc’s dynamic lecture series engages speakers from a broad range of disciplines, including award-winning architects, urban historians, artists, designers, curators, writers, scholars, and other cultural figures.
The school’s spring 2015 lecture line-up is coupled with a set of thought-provoking exhibitions, including two SCI-Arc Gallery shows: COOP HIMMELBLAU’s Dynamic Raumplan, opening January 23, and Henry N. Cobb’s Hypostyle, opening April 2. In addition, the Library Gallery is scheduled to host the exhibition What’s a Guggenheim?, introducing the proposals submitted by several SCI-Arc design faculty and directors to the international design competition for the Guggenheim Museum in Helsinki.
