Since graduating from the AA School of Architecture in London with Honors, Achim Menges has held numerous academic positions in the United States and Europe, including visiting professorships at the AA and Harvard University. Following this academic concentration his research projects have been widely published and exhibited worldwide and have received a number of international awards. For this research, Menges focuses on the digital generation of form at the intersection of evolutionary computation, algorithmic design, biomimetic engineering and computer aided manufacturing which results in a highly articulated, performative built environment.
