SCB is currently renovating three club lounges for United Airlines at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago. The scope of work includes the 10,000-square-foot club at gate B18, the 22,000-square-foot club at gate C16, and the 13,000-square-foot club at gate B6. All three clubs are being updated to align with the new brand standard developed by SCB. The refreshed clubs will welcome travelers to enjoy the highest level of customer service and luxury in between flights.
SCB’s design of United’s brand highlights their high-end customer service throughout all of their clubs; these new lounges are the only business class lounges of their kind offered by a U.S. airline. Specific features of the lounges include custom-design chairs, showers, and hot meals. All of the clubs will provide sparkling wines, spirits, and snacks for members.
The B6 club will receive new escalators and a new stair, as well as upgrades to the typical United Airlines club spaces, including credentials, lounge areas, kitchen, bar, and restrooms. The C16 and B6 spaces will receive more extensive renovations to provide a customer experience that will continue to position United Airlines above and beyond its competitors. C16 will be upgraded with two new elevators to ease traffic flow and enhance customer comfort, an enclosed luxury lounge for VIP members, and a potential outdoor space. The VIP lounge, which will accommodate 30 - 35 people, will include a private elevator with direct access to an executive transportation concierge. The outdoor area will offer all club members the opportunity to enjoy a unique and desirable rooftop experience. The first lounge at O’Hare is scheduled to open in December 2016.
