The intent of this project was to create a performance space for the Santa Monica Beach area. Already a nesting ground for various artists, Santa Monica will seek to once again strengthen its artistic culture by providing a performance space for new, as well as well-established, artists in hopes of merging the urban fabric which lies just past the Pacific Coast Highway. With numerous Iconic figures, attractions, and with such a historical background to rely on, the bandshell will effortlessly blend in to its Santa Monica home on the beach.
