Perched atop a ridge line overlooking the Wasatch Mountain range, this home takes advantage of expansive views in two directions. The layout of the spaces is organized around a central staircase capped by a monumental skylight. Excavations into the textured stone base of the house creates an architectural and material counterpoint to the crisp, zinc metal-clad upper level. Responding to the expansive views, the main spaces include floor-to-ceiling sliding doors to allow for unencumbered indoor/outdoor living.
