2018 – ULI Atlanta – Finalist, Awards for Excellence (For Armour Yards)
2018 – Atlanta Urban Design Commission – Award of Excellence for Adaptive Use
This 66,000 SF renovation transformed a rail-based warehouse into class-A, collaborative office space in Atlanta's Armour Yards district.
The existing construction is tilt-up concrete walls with bow trusses clear-spanning 130 feet - allowing uninhibited occupation of the interior. Smith Dalia's design carves into the existing concrete perimeter and glazes the facade to celebrate the iconic structural elements, allow occupants a visual connection to the exterior, and create an area landmark.
