Vespaio

An homage to the Mediterranean coastal lifestyle, this elegant restaurant  anchors a new residential building across the courtyard from the Broad museum. Eschewing the dark wood and dim lighting of traditional Tuscan eateries, Vespaio, with its white marble, rich millwork, and antique brass is reminiscent of Italian yachts, the glorious Riva Aquarma speedboats of the 60s, and tailored men’s pocket squares of the 1980s. A distinctive sculpted acoustic plaster ceiling and oversized wood shutters tie the cafe, restaurant and bar together. The patio includes a permanent hexagonal shade trellis with operable barrel vault system allows seasonal flexibility, while a floating fireplace give a warm focus to the exterior lounge.
