Retail buildings are ubiquitous. Besides their tenant's logo, these buildings are almost invisible in their surroundings. We propose another possibility - where a building can present a landmark like quality. For neighboring apartment buildings, the building's sides and rear walls become a reference to the land and soil of the area.
