Cracovia Centrum, located just west of Kraków’s medieval city center, creates a plaza as the gateway to and from Kraków’s largest park, the triangular Błonia, while also reconciling the confusing public space between the existing National Museum and the old Cracovia Hotel (a new building filled with shops and eateries replaces the old hotel). The new plaza is completely paved with two main circular elements, a sunken sculpture garden encompassed by a reflecting pool, and a pavilion at the pivot point of the park.
