Sixth Street Bridge

About:
The studio proposes a design solution for the Sixth Street Bridge in Los Angeles, California. The studio offers an alternative solution to the same design problem proposed by the Los Angeles transportation authorities. The main program for the cause was to build a bridge that not only takes from one bank of the Los Angeles River to another but also it performs a sociological and urban duty in doing the same. The precedents for the project were the notion of a bridge in Robin Hood- Little John conflict on the bridge in the Sherwood forests. Another precedent is the poem about Rip Van Winkle by Washington Irwing and its relation to the changing world.
