This project consists of the conversion of a 1926 bread factory into 33 residential lofts. This 56,000 square foot, two-story building is unique in that it is an industrial building with an elaborate Mediterranean Revival style front facade. The building is a city of Tampa historic landmark and therefore the renovations were carried out in conformance with the Department of Interior standards. The main goals were to preserve and restore the building’s traditional exterior, while in the interior highlighting the industrial character in both the common areas and units. In addition to the conversion of the factory building, we master planned the 3-acre site incorporating a new four-story condominium building, 12 three-story townhomes and four narrow-lot, single-family homes, each of which were designed by different architectural firms.
