Using color, material, lighting, and acoustical analysis, I redesigned an existing lecture hall on campus to comply with the comfort needs of the space. Inspired the the theatre, deep red is brought to the entrance, as well as dramatic lighting and tradition cream-city brick as a tribute to the history of Milwaukee. Acoustical panels on the ceiling on the inside of the lecture hall allow for acoustic control. Controllable lighting allow for a variety of teaching scenarios, as well as "smart boards" at the front of the room for a high-tech capability. Each audience seat is equipped with task lighting, writing surface and a lap top dock.
