This project aimed to relate the local urban fabric of New York City’s midtown garment district to a set of programmatic schemes that will redefine this zone as a Fashion Mecca and a major destination. Redefining its iconic garment character and encouraging this stop to be a major destination in New York City will be done firstly by locating the site adjacent to Penn Station NY. We looked to make of this site a gateway from one of the most transit-accessible locations in the city. We looked into the big picture of the garment industry and until what extend did the architecture affect the: experience, production and manufacturing from a socio-cultural perspective.
