A DESIGN BASED ON FIVE SIMPLE STRATEGIES.
Piazza Carlo Ederle, now at the mercy of traffic, is reformed following simple strategies that will enhance the lost potential.
1. Reducing crossing traffic by increasing the surrounding streets utilization.
2. Improving environmental quality by inserting a “thick theory” of trees.
3. Enhancement of the local identity, by using native materials and species of trees, that suggest a renewed link with the history of the place.
4. Creating space for relationships and bringing back the public area as a social area.
5. Safety for pedestrians by introducing wide pedestrian area and connecting them with other protected areas of the village.
