[Sub]urban is about combining the activities, spaces and the American Dream from both typical suburban and urban neighborhoods. By combining these two very well defined types of living, this site embraces the idea of outdoor living, social activities, density and amenities to create ideal spaces for outdoor living and social exchange. The goal of this project and site is to create a type of environment that caters to a variety of needs to attract the 75% of commuters in Tempe that travel from the edge to work. Ultimately, the project and site create more variety in types of housing, density, amenities, spaces for social exchange and opportunities for outdoor living.
