This project focuses on providing a safe space for grieving that would serve the community of Edgewood, KY in collaboration with St. Elizabeth Hospital.  A 'design model' was developed at the beginning of the process that would serve as a self-imposed system of checks and balances to ensure that the project found balance when program was introduced.  

Programmatic elements were divided into six categories and distributed along a spiraling circulation path that mimic the gradual grade of the site context. As program needs required the interior spaces to change/shift, the circulation and envelop responded to those changes. Expansions and contractions in the buildings fluid facade serve as markers for the circulation as the client moves from private to public spaces.
