Public Piazza

Design for a public piazza in a small village outside Florence, Italy.  The proposal for this project focused on connections.  The design used the slope of the hill to create terraces in order to separate the different functions of the site.  The goal was to make it possible to create a connected public space that includes gardens, sitting areas, sculpture platforms, eating areas and market areas.  At the base of the terraces there is a hinge that turns you towards the road leading towards the soccer field.
