This project set out to be a celebration of the multi-ethnicity of Montreal.

A web linking the site to its' origins was created. The web was used to carve out spaces where people could meet and connect. The same web creates voids aligned differently on all levels. These voids form the circulation through the mediatheque.

Spaces where moulded according to adjacencies, lighting and circulation requirements. Three distinct volumes where highlighted; the cinema, media centre and an art gallery. The library connects the spaces in between just as different cultures are individual yet are connected and live together as one community in Montreal.
