This school project focuses on the comprehensive approach to architectural design. Located in Downtown Miami, this multifunctional building serves an extension of the College of Architecture and the Arts (CARTA) at Florida International University. The first phase was the conceptual design, organizing the complex building program within a site of 6,000 square feet (50' x 120'). After creating the overall design of the building, the second phase deals with the integrated systems, such as the mechanical layout, structural design, occupancy load, egress system, electrical layout, and security features. The objective behind these systems was to determine if the building can be constructed efficiently.
