The video piece for the Palm Springs Museum Wexler Exhibit focuses on three of Don Wexler’s built houses in Palm Springs. The video installation consists of a 21ft long x 4ft high triptych. The three video panels relate to each other formally and conceptually. Through the use of moving images this piece investigates the light, color, spatial, and material qualities of these three buildings. Scenes from the surrounding Palm Springs landscape are interspersed in the videos in order to show how these houses address the surrounding desert climate and environment.
