M.Arch II Program - Urban Planning - Fall 2005
Syracuse University - Professor Francisco Sanin
I approached the site as an "urban acupuncturist" intent on generating the best use of spaces by implementing the least amount of intervention in order to attain the highest spatial impact.
The key idea is to implement design by analyzing individual programs that exist, their relationship to one another, the collective memory of the site, patterns of circulation, relationships between different spaces and foremost the people that inhabit these spaces, their needs and consistent patterns.
The new projects balance and compliment the space that they occupy as well as allow the possibility to adjust to future programmatic changes.
