The proposed addition includes contemporary technology and exposed construction materials to suggest progression with an old technique. The south wall consists of a curtain wall of fritted glass with a modern pattern that plays on the characterization of the buildings in the surrounding area. This allows the addition to be visible for pedestrian traffic without comprimising the interior environment. Radient heating is integrated to take advantage of the adjacent patio during winter months and provide effective heating for the public.
