RMS was given the daunting task of completing the urban grafting and graphic design for the Global Island; a project within the New Silk Roads exhibition and book, created by artist/designer Kyong Park.

This particular phase seeks, using satellite images of the sixteen cities in the study, to stitch together the most magnificent and gastronomique elements of the architectural and urban landscape. Using Google Earth, the following regions along the old silk road were grafted into the Global Island:

Abu Dhabi, Astana, Beijing, Delhi, Dubai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Macau, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Shenzhen, Tashkent, Tianjin and Tokyo.
