This project is the result of winning a restricted competition organized by the World Trade Centre and Igualada’s Town Hall. The proposal responds to the social and economic requirements of the new Igualada, a town in a process of development.

I took charge of the competition and the project “basico” stage.  The competition was won against some of the best architectural firms in Barcelona. Project has a total gross floor of nearly 75,000 square metres and 25,000 square meters of park in the same lot.

Base design project stage was developed in a record time, drawn with revit software. The client was very much satisfied with the result, however some politic issues and problems finding developers made the project stop. A new option was developed them, creating a much bigger retail store area with a french developer.

The Commercial area occupies the ground and first floors while the offices and hotel occupy the upper floors.
