Site design was derived from existing primary pathways, which ultimately influenced the aesthetic of the building.

Material selection and organization is influenced by existing landmarks and planned infrastructures (pedestrian bridge, international gateway for US/Canada border)

Performing Arts Center which focused on revitalizing poorly used space (surface parking) in downtown Detroit. The site design is based on a continuation of existing paths. Major programmatic elements are organized based on the flow of these paths, and represented as modules sized to display their independent functions.

This transit center is to serve as a bus depot and light rail station. My focus was to maximize the stations ability to serve these functions while introducing programmatic elements that maximize opportunities present on site (view). the parallel motion of the trains were a driver of the canopy design.

This day care is located in southwest Detroit, which is defined as a cultural melting pot for the city. This site in particular is in the Mexican Village area. Referencing adobe architectural styles (southwestern US and Mexico) and local materials (dark aged brick masonry) the design referenced both culture and location.

MAD hotel (located on Madison Ave, Detroit, MI) is an exploration between the interaction between programs for both a hotel, and an art gallery.

The artwork had defined an overall theme for the experience of this hotel/ gallery.
