I am an architectural designer from Detroit, Michigan with a masters degree in architecture. I have been working as a draftsman and designer since 2007. I am primarily interested in design, but feel that a well rounded experience (in all facets of the profession) is very important. I enjoy working on design competitions, traveling, and experiencing new things.
I am currently searching for a position in architectural design where I can gain new experiences and add to my unique skill set.
Moiseev/Gordon Associates, Inc., Royal Oak, MI, US, Jr. Architect
Currently working on high end residential and dental/medical office build-outs.
The Ron Jona Collaborative, Southfield, MI, US, Architectural Staff
As an Intern Architect my responsibilities range from the initial field visit & documentation through construction documentation & construction administration. Site planning & design for new developments exposed me to code & ordinance research. My involvement in multiple image compliance projects for General Motors dealerships has strengthened my ability to adhere to rigorous prescriptive design standards.
Wakely Associates Inc. Architects, Warren, MI, US, Intern, Draftsman, Architectural designer.
Responsible for completing work outlined by a registered architect. This work includes mostly design development through construction documents, and aiding in the schematic design phase through 3D modeling and by providing advice in design. I take field measurements and make observations on site.
I currently use AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2006 and Google Sketchup at this firm.
This position along with my education has generated an understanding of architecture as a profession, as well as the technical aspects of design and construction.
Wakely Associates Inc. Architects has been in business for over 60 years in the Metro-Detroit area. Our work focuses primarily in K-12 educational facilities, for several local school districts. We also do plenty of work for Macomb County (Jail, Courthouses, etc.).
Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, MI, US, MArch, Design & Practice
Masters in Design and Practice
My Graduate Studio / Thesis was an investigation into self sustaining systems for communal living in a Dhaka, Bangladesh's largest slum.
My summer studio was group oriented. From this I have gained valuable communication and team working skills. I have also realized that when it comes to design, I am a generator more than anything.
The academic courses (professional practice, project management, etc.) have really given me a better idea of architecture as a business, and a profession. I am also more aware of what is happening with the projects that I am working on.
This program has given me the research skills required to create a well rounded and culturally significant design.
Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, MI, US, BArch, Architecture
I was particularly interested in my design studios, however the focus of my program was particularly on technical design. Along with my work at Wakely, my undergraduate education has given me the technical knowledge required to put buildings together.
