Ten years after the one hundred day genocide in 1994, the country of Rwanda decided to dedicate a site in Kigali to the thousands of genocide victims. The existing site, at the moment, has a museum devoted to the history of the Rwandan genocide, several gardens dedicated to the thousands of individuals lost and also massive burial areas which are the final resting place for over 250,000 victims. The scope of my project deals with developing a conceptual master plan that expands beyond the existing boundaries
that currently house the Kigali Memorial Centre.
