Caswell Beach, North Carolina, located at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, experiences ebb + flow tides throughout the day. The goal of this research outpost is to provide a space for the user to learn, observe, and collect research about the tides that influence the area. Data regarding the high and low tides experienced over the course of a few months was used to design the facade of the building. This facade allows the user views to the exterior at critical points, such as, high tide, low tide, and the space in-between.
