As a strategy to revive community participation, a new program is added to an outdated residential tower in Albany, NY. Through the pairing of a public E-library with an existing private residential program, a hybrid space is created that promotes interaction between the residents of the tower and the community at street level. The addition of the reading landscape creates a vibrant and active area along the booming Central Ave and blurs the boundaries between public and private by pulling users from each population.
