What will the telephone booth become in the future? This project explored the possibilities of heptic  signals as a new technology for communicating over long distances in the future. Besides sound and image, could the sense of touch become engaged for long distance communication? This idea was debated, explored and represented through photography in a close collaboration with David Rhoese in 2001 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
