The Harley Motel serviced the needs of those that traveled along Main Street, specifically the needs of a motorcyclist that needs to rest.  Certain program elements such as easy entering and exiting from the street, and separate entries for each unit were included.

Form and design elements reflected the nature of the motorcycle form (curved body, compact), as well as the expression of speed and freedom.
