This project, located in Manhattan, focused on the solitude that is possible when in a big city like New York.  It combines my undergraduate background in art history with my architectural graduate study by drawing on the artistic movement called the Metaphysical for inspiration.  The architecture uses framing as a way to emphasize the artistry of the city to create a peaceful hotel within the bustle of the city.
