The client's brief was to convert a lavish 1.5 BHK into a 3 BHK, but there was a caveat to this.. More about that later. The existing house had a Living Room, spacious Kitchen, Master Bedroom (with an attached Bath), Study Room, and Common Bathroom with a covered terrace.
In the proposed layout, the Client wanted a dedicated Dining space adjacent to the Living Room with an attached Powder Toilet. A Media/Gaming room which could also be used as a Guest room if required. 2 Bedrooms with attached Baths and ample storage spaces. Also, the Kitchen was to be re-designed to resemble a contemporary modular Kitchen in vogue with current decors.
Coming back to the twist in the tale, the Client wanted this whole set-up attached to his existing apartment one floor above. The idea is to connect the terraces of both apartments to create a Duplex!
