Launched in 2015, Memoirs of Black Ballet preserves, presents, and promotes the contributions and stories of Black artists in the field of Ballet, illustrating that they are an integral part of dance history at large. With a lower than state average percentage of people that speak English not well or not at all, easy-to-understand and universal motifs derived form ballet choreography are utilized to connect people without the use of language.
