400 PAS (Park Avenue South) is a new residential development project under construction at the intersection of Park Avenue South and E 28th Street. The unique and ground breaking structure, unlike any other residential building in New York City has been designed in collaboration between Christian de Portzamparc and Handel Architects. Approximately 476,000 gross square feet of new construction along with site improvements and the 28th Street MTA subway entrance are included in the project. There are a total of 43 stories; 1 retail floor (ground floor), 39 residential floors (2nd-40th), 3 mechanical floors (41st-43rd), and 2 below grade cellar levels. The project includes: apartments, condominiums, amenity areas (lap pool, lounge, theater, gym, club room, kids room, spin room, and a yoga studio), and 2 ground level retail stores.
